Dreaming Robot Press, an indie sci-fi/f publisher for YA and middle-grade readers, is seeking submissions for the 2019 edition of the Young Explorer’s Adventure Guide.

The anthology will be a collection of amusing sci-fi/fantasy stories aimed at a middle-grade and young adult readership; therefore, the protagonist needs to be 8-12 years old.

Founder and publisher Corie Weaver invites stories with sci-fi adventure, exciting tech-infused settings, and a distinctive class of genuine characters. “Tell of adventure, space, science. Give us rockets, robots and alien encounters, and we’re pretty happy.”

This anthology is open to speculative fiction, including steampunk, weird west, alternate realities, and time travel.

Word length: 3K to 6K words per story.

Payment: 6 cents per word (considered pro-rates for this genre).

Deadline: December 31, 2017. Read contributor’s guidelines at the publisher’s website.
